I tried my hand at faking lomography. It's kind of a cool photo, and about half my audience really liked it (the other half liked the "oooh, bright colours" of the original). I did this as an experiment, and I'm gonna keep doing this with different photos.

I added the colour in her hair, lips, eye, and very subtlety on her right (your left) cheek. Took just under an hour total, probably would've been closer to 30 minutes, but this was a new technique I was trying. Lips aren't quite as good as I had hoped though. -Swart

My friend Erin again, this time with a nice halftone pattern (bunch of dots.) Overlayed. Also minor colour changes due to attack of the red. Not a whole lot cosmetic wise. Actually none. Nothing really to change, so none done. Good models make photoshop much faster. -Pope; Okay, 3 hours of sleep and a school-day jogging back and forth made me a bit tired, so I went back and reworked it a tiny bit. The picture didn't do her justice. Still doesn't, but it's better now. -Pope again.

This was experimental. Highly experimental. I was trying to increase the reds in the picture, so I decided to just go crazy with the levels. I like the coarse background. It's kind of the Revolution 9 of my art, but with an actual tune. -Swart; It's a bit unorthodox, but it's got a feel to it. It could be better, not so abrupt at times, and perhaps a bit LESS violet, but I'm no critic. -Pope

The description of this picture seems to have disappeared, and the edit is no longer fresh in my head, so I will say what I remember. I didn't do the grainy texture or the colourisation, but I did cosmetics. This is one of the first times I have improved on a professionals work, but I like what I did to it.

This piece was inspired by the Beatles classic, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. My favorite line from that was 'The girl with Kaleidoscope eyes.' So here you are. Originally, my design idea was much different. It didn't take place in space, just in a sky of marmalade and crimson. It would be far dreamier, with a moon similar to this, and a tastefully nude girl sitting on it, staring at the viewer with the only colored part of the picture, her eyes. I didn't quite capture that here, but it's still pretty nice. Maybe one day I'll make it.

Well, to everyone who sees the major overcoloring of the eyes, here's the explanation. My computer is new. And I seem to have accidentally messed up the color settings on my monitor. Since this edit they have been fixed, but when I made this the browns were much duller. It's a shame. -Swart

Upon further inspection, I see that the face is slightly blurry. I could have probably fixed that with just a tiny bit more Gaussian blur. Disappointing, really, how 15 seconds could have fixed the biggest problem that exists.

Ahh the old days. Back when editing was fairly new to me. I still find this piece interesting. It does have the effect I wanted it to have. That odd Japanese flic promo. It is designed to be a funny picture for a friend, not anything serious. The creature thing is a bit out of place. -Swart
